Let's Talk Shop!

Sherry has got us party goers talking about shopping today....

Where is your favorite place to shop?

In the UK my favourite place to shop is Selfridges. Admittedly I don't spend very much in their but I love the experience. I'm so pleased their Christmas Dept is now open.

In the US my fave shops are Wal-mart and Target. I love picking up different bits and pieces far cheaper than I get in the UK.

Would you rather shop on-line or in the stores?

I'm not actually a great fan of shopping for clothes and prefer buying them online so I can try at home but like to look at the clothes in person... hmmmm maybe i'm just a fussy shopper!

I love homeware shopping in store but I do also love browsing and buying off of Etsy.

If you needed new undergarments, but you saw something that you didn’t really need, but just wanted, which would you buy?

Of course I'd by the thing I wanted!

What really annoys you about other shoppers?

I hate people that stand around blocking the aisles or what you're trying to get to... or those that jump in front of you to get to something then take forever to pay etc.

Have you ever got up to the checkout stand and had a ton of stuff in your cart and after they rang everything up you realized you didn’t have your money, check book, debit card, or credit cards?

I can't remember this happening to me and I guess I would... i know mum had had to leave a trolley full behind when she'd left her purse at home.

If you buy something that isn’t necessary or something just for fun do you feel like you have to justify it to yourself or your partner?

Thankfully I don't have a partner to hide my purchases from but I have been known to sneak things past my dad. I saw a vintage Lloyd Loom chair and matching laundry basket a charity shop once. I mentioned them longingly to my mum knowing my dad would go crazy if i came home with them. Mum went into the shop to have a look at it and loved it to. She brought it, kept it on hold till the Monday when dad would be at work. She the brought the chair in sneaking it past my dad.... then a day later brought the laundry basket in!

Do you hide those unnecessary things for awhile and then later claim you’ve had them for a long time?

As the story above tells you... yes!!!!

Hope you enjoyed hearing about me!

I definately have to hide things from Mr K. I live so far away from department stores that it is easier for me to shop online for everything and it all arrives when Mr K's at work. I have many favourite shops but Harrods and Fortnum and Masons are favourites at christmas time, where we always buy something special for Mr K's parents. Marks & Spencers Foodhall. Cath Kidston of course goes without saying. Plumo for pretty things, Dibor & Laura Ashley for housewares. And my local farm shop. Oh and any sweetie shop I stumble across. XX
P.S. I havnt answered on the giveaway as I managed to get a bag and it wouldnt be fair if I won another one. So lovely of you to offer XXX

You got some great shopping pictures!! Your mom sounds so much like me. It's not that Earl gets mad it's just the look on his face and the "where are you going to put that?" or "what are you going to do with that?" questions that I hate. The chair is perfectly pink and was a definite necessity!

Did you get your cleaning done in your craft/bedroom done? Isn't it great to spread everything out in other rooms?

I can't wait to see what Suzie sent you for the Oz Swap! Be sure and post pictures when you receive it!!

Have a great Friday Victoria!

I love Selfridges too, that's the first place I went after being given my visa to move here, it was closeby the embassy.

I am a huge online shopper, especially due to where I live!
