Having a Ball

A couple of weekends ago I attended a Ball my friend hosts each year in aid of St Claires Hospice

I have a table with family and friends and its always a lovely evening and this year I'm pleased to report that £5000 was raised despite having less people attend than last year

It's a sad fact that many people in my town have had a friend of family member who have been cared for at the hospice at one time or another over the years so it's nice to have an occasion to show our support

There was a photographer taking photos so of course my friends and I indulged

We started with the sensible poses....

...and then the photographer suggested we have some fun

My friend made a "life size" copy of one of the photos which they have displayed proudly in their front room!!

I'm just about caught up with blogging so hopefully I can stay on top of things now!

Victoria, I would love to raid your dress wardrobe! You have such amazing dresses! I loved the one you wore for the wedding, but this one is georgeous too! You lucky girl! Great photos!
I'm so glad to see you got the Nigella Christmas book too, it's great! I've just made the Christmas Pudding bonbons, they came out so well, and very boozy! ;) I'll post photos of them at the weekend.

OH MY that is just so cute. Every single photo was great and the one you pick was so perfect for that room. I even like the way one young man even changed is hair style for one shot. Having a photo like this in a room will always put you in such a happy mood...lucky, lucky you that you have such wonderful joyous friends.

Do stop by some time and check out the contest we have going on right know and will also be having another one in Jan 09. Hope to see you there.

Keep smiling that beautiful smile.
