Tudor Time

I was in the supermarket last night and saw "The Other Boleyn Girl" dvd on the shelves and couldn't resist buying it.

Neither could I resist watching it immediately when I got home and ladies, it is a fantastic film!

I loved every minute of it and the costumes are amazing!

For those of you that are fans of Philippa Gregory (who wrote the book this film was based on) I thought I'd let you know she has another book coming out next month which you can pre-order here

Don't forget my giveaway is still running, if you haven't already done so leave a comment here

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, I'm off to try on bridesmaid dresses tomorrow!

OOOOhhhh... looks like such a good one... It does look like a fabulous find, I agree. I might have to grab it, too.

Going to go and get a movie tonight to watch with my 14 year old.. the one I am fussy over in my blog today. Funny how things work out in the end. All of that and now he wants to watch a movie with me tonight. Makes me glad to be a mom.

I'm going to look for this one, though. Thanks for sharing!

I'm going to have to get one for me and my awesome hubby too. He is actually not working today. He was there all day yesterday, on a Saturday. So, may get some time in with him, too...

I am a huge Phillipa Gregory fan. I met her at a book signing in Toronto just before the movie opened here. She seemed sincere and nice.

I am just reading "The Queen's Fool" and loving it so far. I didn't know "Boleyn Girl" was out on DVD already. Must get it.

I loved both of her Bolyene books and finished the Elizabeth one this morning. I need to find more of her historical novels!

I loved the book, but didn't care for the movie so much. I think the King from "The Tudors" would have been a much better King Henry in the movie. Costumes were beautiful, weren't they?
I also have devoured all of Phillipa Gregory's books. Try out the books about Josephine Bonaparte by Sandra Gulland- fabulous!
