Boot Sale Treasure

I did some thrifting today and look at the goodies I found

More figures and books to add to my collections

A hat to remove the flower from

Some games to use in crafting projects

I love this roses painting which mum has stole to display in our toilet!

I'm writing this post perched on my bed surrounded by clothes I've emptied from my wardrobe... finally the motivation to sort and organise has kicked in at 8pm on a Saturday night!

What great treasures you came home with! Don't you just love the flowers on old hats!! I love the leaves because they are usually pressed velvet.

Victoria, I so love the sound of a boot sale versus the U.S. "flea market"! Great rose print! Thanks for the clever idea about using the board games! Love and hugs, Lori

Nice finds, well done! I love Enid Blyton books, I must read more of them to my girls as they get older. Can't wait for the weather to get better so we can get booting again!

You found some lovely things. I picked up 2 Enid Blyton books yesterday for 40p each, then I went to Oxfam and they were charging £4.99 for EB books that had the dust cover and £2.99 without. The charity must be doing well because they had 2 shops a few doors apart, one just for books and the other shop had junk (and I mean junk). Wouldnt they be better saving the money and having one shop? I am now refusing to donate to them as they are wasting money that could be better spent. The shops are on a main street that must cost alot to rent.....Rant Over! I feel better now (Mr K got to hear my rant yesterday too!) LOL! X

Hi, I found your blog via Lucy Bloom and thought I'd stop and say hello. How nice to see those lovely games. My lovely husband and I play Scrabble and chess and cards almost every day.

I haven't popped by your blog in a while, but am loving this little visit. Chuckling at your mother putting this lovely painting "in the toilet." As an American reader, I'm laughing, but knowing full well she didn't really put it in the "toilet," just the bathroom. Ha!

Your blog always makes me want to start a blog about things I see at garage sales over here (I must get a camera phone first - because usually it is things I would love to buy but know my hubby would kill me if I did).
