This weekend I went with friends to help them select their Christmas Tree and what a Christmas Tree it was!
Unfortunately it was a little large so needed some trimming down but it did create a second smaller tree that is living in their kitchen!
I spent the evening threading string to hang the baubles
Here's the finished work... we still want to add some ribbon and maybe any other decorations we find on our travels
I had my first Christmas dinner today with a friend, it was good but it really did feel like Christmas once finished and reaching to undo the top button on my jeans!
Over the weekend I managed to pick up some more decorations for my future home
I really love what I call American style decorations, esp these fun fast food ones I found
I remembered I brought a festive Yankee Candle plate and shade so dug that out this evening and is now accompanying my lovely smelling cider donut candle
Some good news as I've been tied up this weekend and having dinner with a friend tomorrow evening I'm going to extend my giveaway until Tuesday evening at 6pm so remember if you haven't done so already, leave a comment on this post
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend

The tree is huge. I miss having a real tree, my house is far too small so I just have a tiny one, but I do put lights on a tree in the garden. Ive finally managed to have a good look through Nigellas book and going to use alot of the recipes over xmas. The tv programme she did with the recipes from this book was shown in 2006 and I tried to write down from the tv the ingredients and amounts needed for her gingerbread stuffing. I made it that year and it wasnt very nice, but now I have the book with the proper recipe, Im going to try it again. Wow cake with your dinner YUM! X

Hi Victoria
Thanks so much for your kind offer. I get the impression there are very few CK bags left anywhere, so I think it would be foolhardy to embroil myself in another head-to-head (or phone-to-phone) with them. I'll just wait until after Christmas and see what happens. But thank you for such a lovely thought.
Love your tree ... and Christmas meals already. Does that mean the festive season has arrived? Wait for me ....
thanks hun....xxx
Hi Victoria, it looks like you had a lot of fun with your friends picking out a tree and putting it up! Those trees always are so much BIGGER when you get them home, aren't they? Have a good week! Suzie
What a lovely tree!
Nice to see chrimbo ornaments are going into your 'bottom drawer'. When you finally get your own place you are going to have it almost completely fitted out.
What a pretty tree and I think it's especially pretty all lit up. Cute, cute ornaments for your collection....the french fries are my favorite.
Enjoy all the fun Christmasy things you are doing ....hugs, Linda
We had a similar experience with our tree on sunday - they never look that tall in the garden centre!
I love your tree! It looks so pretty all lit up!
Have a wonderful week!
