My First Giveaway!

I'm so pleased to have found such wonderful blogs over the past few months and am looking forward to spending 2008 in your company and as such thought it time to offer a small giveaway.

I'm offering a Limited Edition Jar of Marmite exclusive to Selfridges for Valentine's Day . On a trip to their food hall last night I couldn't resist picking up a few jars as a LOVER of Marmite. It's even got a "touch of champagne" in it!

The jar says "I Love You" and "For My Lovely Marmite Lover" - what a humorous gift this would make for your Valentine this year!

All you need to do is leave a comment on this post by Thursday 10th January (I will pick the winner on Friday 11th January) telling me what you love that others hate in the spirit of Marmite's "You either love it or hate it" slogan. You can even tell me whether you Love or Hate Marmite!

Something I love which everyone else seems to hate (they think they taste of soap!) are American Twizzlers,

I adore them. My first trip to NY many years ago I brought a huge tub from the Hershey store, my friend I travelled with said she awoke every morning to me noisly eating them - yes I'll eat them for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

***For those not sure what marmite is please read here for info***

Thanks for your visit. Please enter me in your giveaway. I don't know what marmite is, but would be willing to try it. If you like twislers you will love red vines, even better if they are fresh. The theaters over here used to have red vines which I love, now they just have twislers which are just okay in my book. Have a great day!

Marmite? Have never even heard of such a thing until I stumbled upon your blog. Sounds very interesting indeed. I too love Twizzlers and always eat the whole bag myself.

Firstly Hello and Happy New Year Victoria!
This giveaway is a very imaginative one and anything featuring hearts is very appealing.
I personally hate Marmite..yeuuch! Love the ads on telly though! My man loves it..

Much to the disgust of my family I L♥VE liquorice
even if I do look like an extra from a Dickens film with blackened teeth..
Please include me in your giveaway.. it would be a unique Valentine gift..

am I allowed to be in on the marmite even though I am a newbie to your blog? Very excited to hear about the limited edition, ut looks great! I was an original 'marmite baby' and used to be given marmite on toast with boiled eggs to keep me quiet whilst they tucked into Roast Beef (hated it, still not keen!)Am now going to read more of your posts!anna

I didn't realise until watching a programme called Edwardian larder last night that marmite din't have beef extract in it, and was suitable for vegetarians. Personally I hade it but the rest of the family love it. The best thing I like about marmite adverts is that they use the fact that people either love it or hate it to get everyone talking about marmite ! Please put me into the give away, my children would think it hilarious that I allowed it into the house !

I've no idea if I would like Marmite or not, but as Mama always said, you never know until you try.

I will have to read what Marmite is....never heard of it! But I thought I would share first...I love coleslaw...which everyone seems to always hate! I always order it as a side in restaurants and whomever I eat with always seems to think it is quite disgusting!

Oh and I am a big fan of twizzlers too!
